Scooby, the cat

The indignities forced upon us cats by those we love is sometimes to much to take. Today Mom and I went to sit on the porch together, her idea (indignity #1). While we were outside this huge car type thing pulled up. This stranger got out and let the nephews out. Mom got up and I thought she was going to let me go in, boy was I wrong! She walked over to the strange man and introduced me! She told him my name and let him pet me (indignity #2)! He said to show someone else in the van so my Mom walked around and let a strange woman touch me (indignity #3)! HELP! What if they steal my identity? I do not like this! I was so freaked out that when Mom finally let me go inside that I ran and hid. Why did she let them see me? I like to be incognito! It turns out that she shows my picture to a lot of people! What is she thinking? I need to have some time alone now. Bye

The nephews are coming! They will be here tomorrow! I am so happy. They always play with me. We are friends now. Mom has been working on a special project for the boys and I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they seem them. I know that they will love them. I can't say what they are until the boys go home, sorry. You will just have to check back and see what they are later! I am glad she is done with the surprises, it has taken her days and days! I have been neglected, I haven't really but I think I should get more attention anyway! Well, I got to go and hide my toys from Jamesie, he always stinks them up (LOL)! Bye

Lazy day

I am having a lazy kitty day. I have been sleeping and eating. That's about all I intend to do! Why waste the warm sunshine by playing or chasing Jamesie? I am perfectly happy right where I am.

I am so happy just sleeping in the sun! Wait, what is that noise I heard? It sounds kind of like a car, but quieter. Hmmmm ... I am going to have to look. You wait here, I'll be right back.

HOLY CRAP! I just saw Mom riding around the yard on this big green thing! When she goes by the grass is short. How do you think she did that? I will have to ask her later. That thing is loud! Maybe I will go sleep on the bed, or under it!

Game time

I am playing hide and swat with my Mom and Jamesie! So far I am winning! Jamesie just hisses and leaves, but Mom won't crawl up under the beds to get me. He he! I am having so much fun, I may never come out! No, wait, if I don't come out then I can't set in the window anymore (insert small kitty shriek)! Nope, I'm coming out, no way am I going to miss our beautiful weather. I will have to find time for both games and windows. That will be hard, but I am sure I can do it!

Brave Kitty

I went outside! Yes, I went out on my own. All the way onto the front porch (2 or 3 steps, but hey it counts). Jamesie had gone out and I really wanted to play so before I thought about it I was outside. As soon as I realized it I ran back in. I still feel very, very brave! I hope nobody expects me to do it again! I don't think I am ready for that! LOL

Another Birthday!

Today we are celebrating my Grandma's birthday! How neat is that? Two birthdays in one month! My Mom made her a special present and I helped! Mom was staining a trinket box for Grandma and when it was almost dry I brushed up against it. This left some of my beautiful fur in the stain. Mom wasn't so happy, but I know in her heart she didn't mind. We gave her the presents today and Mom showed Grandma the fur, she wasn't mad at all. She laughed and looked at me and said, "Thank you Scooby." Wasn't that nice of her? Happy birthday Grandma! We love you!!

Go 9

Kasey Kahne won at Texas! YEAH! I am a very happy cat. He is a good driver who deserves all the wins he can get. Now if he can just continue this winning streak I will be a very happy cat! My sympathy to all of you not don't cheer for #9, maybe your driver will win at phoenix. I don't mind as long as Kasey Kahne wins after that! Smiles to all!

The boys are coming, the boys are coming

I am so happy! The nephews are coming to stay with us! Isn't that great? I get to check on Jeremy and play around with them until they have to go home. I love it when they come! They like to play and run just like I do! So you see, we have lots in common. I hope they come soon! I can't wait! Where are they? They are here!

Narcolepsy Awareness

First thing I want to say today is that nephew Jeremy is doing better! Keep those prayers coming! Thank you for all of the good vibrations you send too! Now I want to talk to you about something that is very important to me!
My mom is a Narcoleptic. Narcolepsy is a sleeping disorder that can destroy a persons life if it is not dealt with properly. It can have very serious consequences. In an effort to increase awareness of this sleeping disorder, Narcolepsy Network is launching a public service campaign consisting of television and radio announcements that are 15, 30 and 60 seconds in length. You don't have to wait to see the announcements! You can see them by going to
If you'd like to get involved, call your local TV and radio stations to request that they air these PSAs. You may also suggest that they run a story on narcolepsy on the evening news. For more information, they can contact: Mark Leonard, Next Level Communications 847-267-9660
Please help to increase awareness of this and other sleeping disorders! Thank you!!

Update on Jeremy

I wanted to update everybody on nephew Jeremy's condition. He has pneumonia. The doctor gave him some medicine to make him better, but he still needs prayers and love. Please send them out to him and keep him in your mind and hearts. Aunt Heather, Uncle Robert, nephew Steven, and Oreo will be taking extra good care of him until he gets better. They are all good people (and cat) and love Jeremy very much. Please send out those prayers!

Jamesie's Birthday

Today is a special day because it is my brother, Jamesie's 7th birthday! He is getting so old! Mom was looking at pictures of him from when he was tiny. I didn't believe it was him! Well you can judge for yourselves!

Wasn't he cute? And he is so small! Mom said that he would almost fit in the palm of your hand. Jamesie isn't very old in this picture, about one month, but you can already see the "I want outside" in him! This next picture is so cute, I just had to show it!

He is peeking at us from beside my Aunt Heather's rocking chair. He liked to sit up there and spy on his family. Mom knew when she first saw Jamesie that he would be a wonderful friend to have and she was right! So I will close my post with a hearty HAPPY BIRTHDAY Brother and one more picture!
